John Peachey, age 61, passed Wednesday November 18, 2020 after a courageous battle with multiple cancers. John was originally diagnosed in 2013 with a prognosis of only six months. Bravely enduring multiple rounds of chemo and selective radiation treatments, he survived more than seven years to share this time with family and friends.

With sadness, we must inform you of the passing of Rick Cooper on October 6, 2020. He was the youngest of the three Cooper Brothers. In his marching years with Optimists, 1964 through 1970, he was a member of the colour guard. As per his wishes, there will be no service.

The 2020 Annual General Meeting for active members is scheduled for Sunday September 20, 2020 at the Conestoga Golf and Country Club in Conestoga Ontario.

There is a lengthy list of guidelines to be followed to attend, including pre-registration for follow up later, temperature check, mandatory face masks indoors, social distancing indoors, hand sanitizer and hand washing and many more.

The Annual General Meeting is scheduled first to be followed by a shorter rehearsal than usual (sorry absolutely no spectators allowed in the rehearsal hall).

We will announce the new Executive Board for 2020 - 2021 next week.
