The Bantam Optimists were the first feeder corps for the Toronto Optimists. The corps began in 1960 and continued until 1964. At the end of 1963 the Toronto Optimists lost over half of their corps. In order to have enough members for the Toronto Optimists to compete in the 1964 season the majority of the Bantam Optimists moved to the Toronto Optimists and the feeder corps was folded.
