Passing of Frank Rivier

Sadly I must tell you that Frank Rivier passed away on Tuesday January 25, 2011. Frank had been a member of the Optimists Alumni since 2003. While health issues often prevented him from playing, he regularly showed up to cheer us on.
Obituary
RIVIER, Alvin Francis (Frank) After a brief illness, on January 25, 2011, in his 69th year. Beloved husband to Barbara. Loving father of Jason, Stephanie, and Michelle, and stepfather to Richard (Deborah), Kimberley (Richard), and Kirsten. Frank had a strong talent for oil painting, music, and stained glass. After spending most of his career with the Halton Regional Police Force, he retired to become self-employed. He was a member of the Optimists Alumni Drum and Bugle Corps and the Halton Police Retirees Association. In following Frank's wishes, a private cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at the Just Cremation Chapel (460 Brant Street, Burlington) on Friday, January 28, 2011 at 1 p.m., with a gathering to follow.
