Members of the
Alumni Corps who were associated
with the Seneca Optimists include:
Don Daber, Jack Roberts, Karen
Bosworth, Pat Buttigieg (Pat Tunney),
Ric Brown and Toby Frechette (Doug
May).
In 1976 a merger between the
Toronto Optimists and the Seneca Princemen
created the Seneca Optimists. In its very first
year of existence this corps took 10th place at
the North American Championships and joined the
ranks of the DCI elite! In 1977 the Seneca
Optimists won the Canadian Nationals, placed 8th
at DCI and became the only Canadian corps to win
the US Open. Unfortunately, a great many members had to
leave the corps at the end of 1977. The corps
failed to recover from this loss and, as 1978 came to its end,
so did the Seneca Optimists.
